REAL WOOD IN SAUNA
You can get the high quality with the trees only grown in the northern countries. Trees are grown slowly due to harsh weather conditions, and this makes them stronger and resistant. They take their last shape after an inspection made by Finnish experts, which guarantees the high quality of the wooden.

HEMLOCK

It is an herbaceous biennial plant which is grown in Canada and usually spotted or streaked with red or purple on the lower half of the stem. Low resin and knotless.

FINNISH PINE TREE

(Nordic Pine-Pinus Sylvestris) It is one of the most common used trees in the construction of sauna. It is strong Scandinavian tree. Low resin and knotless.

RED CEDAR

It is strong and dense Canadian tree, which has reddish colour. Low resin and knotless.

NORDIC SPRUCE

(Nordic Spruce- Pricea Abies) With high resistant, low resin level and slow growing speed, it is one of the most common used trees in the construction of sauna.

ABACHI

(Obeche- wawa) It is an African origin tree, which is used for interior design. It can stay in low heat even in the high temperature level.

NATURALITY IN WOODEN SAUNA!

Thanks to low heat permeability, you can touch the surface even in high temperature level. Due to natural and fibrous structure of the wooden, it absorbs steam and humid and doesn’t give out back. For the construction of the sauna; Hemlock, Red Cedar, Pine tree and Nordic Spruce are used because of their low resin level. For the interior design of the sauna, African tree Abachi is used as it doesn't keep high heat even in the high temperature.
Low quality and cheap materials such as plywood and chipboard are never used. All SAWO sauna's sidewalls, interior and exterior surfaces and ceilings are made up of wooden wainscot.
